"Well uh...it's..." Griffon frowned and tried to think of a way to explain the place he and his sister called home. "Well follow me and I'll show you. It's not far."
Griffon stuffed his hands in his pockets and lead the way to the half-demolished building he and Honey lived in. What had previously been a six story building was now practically completly crumbled and only the first two floors were still in tact.
He showed Luna around to the back where there was a broken window and the wall beneath it was broken away. It was fairly easy to slip through and get to the stairs down into the basement. They had the entire floor to themselves. The building had once been some kind of office, but they'd managed to get electricity and running water they stole from a local Blocker outpost. As far as homes on Earth went, it was almost enviable.
"It's not much, but it works." Griffin shrugged as he showed Luna in. He turned and called into the darkness for his sister. "Honey? You here?"

Luna admired the building Griffin and his sister called home. Sure she had seen better but Luna had seen the quality of some of the Earth buildings and it was horrible. She often wondered how people could live in such poverty when she was still with her parents, but now that she was basically experiencing it, she began to understand.
"At least it's something," Luna half muttered as she looked back up the way they had come. She turned back the room they were in. "Better than nothing at all," she added in a slightly higher voice. The area was fairly quiet. If Honey was around then she must be very quiet. She probably could sneak behind Luna and scare the heck out of her.

Griffon wasn't worried when his sister didn't answer. She was probably glued to her computer reading. He led the way deeper into the apartment, heading for Honey's room. He opened the door slowly and spotted his young sister sitting at her computer desk, reading as he'd expected.
The sudden light in the dark room caused her to look up and she grinned at him. "Griffon! I didn't hear you come in. Is the garden alright?" She hopped out of her chair and ran to give him a hug. As she did she spotted Luna standing behind him.
"Oh, you brought a friend?" She shot her brother a coy look and ran to introduce herself. "Hi! My name is Honey. I'm Griffon's sister. I hope he wasn't too rude to you. Griffon is just like that, you shouldn't think too much of it." She held out her hand, smiling. If there was one major way that Honey was unlike her brother, it was that she was far too friendly for her own good.

Luna gladly took Honey's hand and shook firmly, "He wasn't rude at all," she replied with a returning smile. Luna was a bit surprised at how different Griffon and Honey were in first impressions. But she was glad. It was always nice to receive a warm welcome.
In the short silence that followed the hand shake, a noise could be heard from outside the building. It didn't sound like a falling piece of rubble either. It was soft, yet deep. Then again, Luna wasn't really paying attention to it. She only caught the last part of it, but she knew it wasn't anyone within the room. A confused look spread across her face, "Did you hear that?"

Honey froze at the noise and grabed her brother's arm. "What was that?" She whined, "Is it the Blockers again? They aren't attacking, are they? Not again so soon!"
"I don't know," Griffon frowned. He glanced at Luna, "Should we check it out?" He asked her.

Luna only nodded. She had something like, 'It wouldn't hurt,' in mind but if it truly was the blockers than that statement would be thrown out the window as false. She started creeping up the stairs as quietly as she could with making as less noise as she possibly could. When she reached the top she slowed down as she saw a shadow on the wall beside her. Luna froze and fear steadily grew within her, "There is someone there... or something," she whispered without taking her eyes away from the area ahead of her.

It was a Blocker, but he looked bored and not at all frightened. He didn't even look like a Blocker, normally they wore uniforms, but he wasn't. Matt leaned up against a wall with a sigh. 'I know I've not been everywhere, but this place is huge. Jay, where are you?'
After a moment, he moved away from the wall and prepared to keep searching, but something moving out of the corner of his eye stopped him. "Hello?" he asked, his voice cautious, but curious, not at all frightening or intimidating. He had learned that psychics were skittish people...

'A non-psychic, on Earth?' Honey said telepathically to her brother, looking out from behind him at the man who had yet to spot them. 'Grif, what are you going to do?'
Griffon scowled at the man and cracked his knuckles. 'If he's not a psychic and he's on Earth, then he can only be a Blocker. You girls stay back, I'll get rid of him.' He moved to throw a very powerful punch at the unsuspecting Blocker but Honey latched onto his arm.
'Wait! Grif, he doesn't look very hostile. He's not even in uniform.'
'So? He's a Blocker, it could be a trick.'
'Then there would be more out there! Please don't go, Griffon, stay in here.'
Griffon scowled at his sister, 'He'll find us in here. I have to get rid of him.'
Suddenly the man in question called out, "Hello?" The voice made Griffon wince. "Too late," he mumbled. "He knows we're here."

Luna was still wary of the stranger and a bit frightened, but there was only way to find out for certain if this stranger was hostile or not. From what Luna could tell, there didn't seem to be any other people out there. Then again, Blockers could be very tricky. Luna glanced at Griffon and Honey. Hearing Griffon say something only in a whisper, she took it upon herself to say something the stranger would be able to hear. Though she didn't know exactly what to say. "Friend? Or foe?" she asked in a slightly weak tone.

Matt had to smile slightly. "Unless you attack me, friend." He couldn't guarantee anything. He started walking towards the person who spoke, not running or hurrying at all, as to not frighten them any more then they were. They way they spoke and asked first if he was friend or foe instantly marked them as psychics
Once he came into veiw of them he stopped. None of them looked any older then him and he wondered how they managed to make it this far in life alone. The only other guy besides him looked alot stronger then him, but Matt beleived he was faster then him. Matt then realized that if it was needed, psychic strengths aside, he would probably be able to take them on in a fight and escape without any major harm done.
"I am only looking for someone, I do not invoke unnessecary violence."

"Who are you?" Griffon asked suspiciously, trying to keep himself between the stranger and the girls. "And who are you looking for?" Griffon didn't trust this guy any further than Honey could throw him. (Griffon, on the other hand, could probably throw the guy very far indeed with the right incentive)
'Try to calm down a bit, Griffon. He's just one lone normal human. He's not exactly a huge threat unless he's packing some C4 under his shirt or something.' Honey said telepathically.
'Smart ass,' Griffon snorted. She was right, though. There didn't look to be any others around, and one human against three psychics wasn't exactly a fair fight.

Matt stayed where he was. "My name is Matt, and I'm looking for a friend who I had heard was somewhere on Earth. His name is Jayson, although I doubt you know who he is." He paused, then asked. "May I ask who you are?"

Luna nervously glanced at Griffon before giving a reply to his question. "Luna..." She didn't believe he would do something, but she still had a hard time completely convincing herself that it was okay. Though she did feel safer with Griffon and Honey there. If Matt was a threat, he would find it hard to take them all on at once.

"And I'm Honey." The young girl spoke up. "This is my brother, Griffon. It's probably a stupid idea for you to go wandering around the Ruined City. Even if you had a weapon, the second you stepped foot in one of the more populated areas you'd have a hundred psychics ready to take you out if you even looked at them the wrong way." She frowned at Matt. "If you don't believe me, go see for yourself. Not everyone is as friendly as us."
"Honey," Griffon growled. He look at Matt sourly. His sister was right. Anyone in the Ruined City killed any human on sight. All the humans on Earth were likely Blockers. "She's right, though. We haven't seen you're friend. If he's a human then he's probably dead. You should just go back to where you came from."
"Griffon!" Honey scolded, "Don't be so rude!" But she gave no evidence that she disagreed with him. The chances of this Jayson fellow still being alive were slim to none.

"I can't go anywhere else and I've already seen what some of you can do." Matt thought it best if he just agreed that he was a human, not saying he was a trained Blocker unless directly asked. "I'd rather not see any extremes."
He stopped speaking then and waited to see what they would do.

Griffon glanced over at Luna, 'What should we do with him?' He asked her. 'If we send him on his way, he'll probably get himself killed, not that I'd lament his death. He's probably a Blocker, but I don't have any blood on my hands as of yet and I don't think Honey would take it too well if we just killed him.'
'Damn right I wouldn't!' Honey turned to galre at her brother, hands on her hips. 'And it's possible we could make use of him. Especially if he is a Blocker.'
'Make use of him?' Griffon scoffed. 'I don't see how we could make use of a human. Especially not a Blocker'
Honey rolled her eyes, 'You never see the bigger picture, Griffon.' she complained.

'I hate Blockers... I say we help him until we find out either what happened to Jayson, or until we actually find him in the flesh,' Luna joined in the conversation. She looked at Matt with a blank face. 'We'd be okay together, wouldn't we?'

'Don't you think having control of a Blocker would be useful?!' Honey exclaimed, practically bouncingup and down. 'There's a Blocker supply base not far from here! We could feed ourselves for months if only...'
"Be quiet, Honey." Griffon said aloud, mostly for Matt's sake. Knowing psychics were having a conversation telepathically often freaked out normal humans. He looked over at Luna, 'I think we'd be just fine.' he said to Luna. 'He's no threat on his own. If you want to help find this Jayson character, I see no problem with it. It might be nice to get away from the City for a while, don't you think, Honey?'
Honey grinned and nodded 'You bet!'

Matt could practically tell that they were talking telepathically. When Griffon spoke to Honey, Matt became confused. Why were they letting him know? Sure, he wasn't going to do anything, but they should know that, couldn't they read minds? His half-hearted smile went into a slightly nervous, slightly perplexed, half-hearted smile. The Blocker shifted his weight onto the other foot, waiting.
(OOC: Okay, this is sooner then eventually, hope you don't mind... ;D)
~
Vision, her mind watching, was able to get a clear signal to the other psychics. "Um, sorry, not meaning to cut in or anything, but we're stranded just outside the city in the wasteland.... and it's raining..." She left the connection open with all three of the psychics, showing how incredibly powerful her telepathy was compared to most.

'Does everything usually happen all at once?' Luna accidentally said aloud in her mind. 'Oops, sorry. Didn't mean to sound rude.' She also noticed that Matt seemed a little confused and getting tired of waiting, so she forced a smile, since she still didn't really fully trust him, and said, "We'll... help you find this Jayson."
