“He copes, it happened about a week ago, days after I came here.” He remembered that they were right outside the cafeteria. “Were you going to grab something to eat? We can talk after you grab something.”

"Oh yeah, I was pretty hungry." She smiled at him. "I'll be right back, okay? Don't go anywhere now. I'll be back in a few!" And she took off back into the cafeteria to get some lunch.

Jayson took the opportunity of her being temporarily gone, to cast a complex illusion. He made the illusion cover him completely and with detail. Once he was done, he looked exactly like Lune, but if one looked closely, the illusion was a tiny bit translucent.

Lune stood in line waiting for her food. She certianly hoped that Jay wouldn't take off before she had a chance to talk to him. Sure, he was a former Blocker, but she could tell that he wasn't proud of the fact. If he was and if he truly believe in the Blockers' ideal then he never would have come to DetaB. And what about Dace? Lune was bouncing on the balls of her feet by the time she paid for her meal. It was hard work balancing her curiosity with her stomach. Lune finally got her food and dashed out of the cafeteria, holding her sandwich in her hands and taking hasty bites as she ran outside to meet Jay. "Jay?" She called as she stepped out. "Where'd you go?"

He waited, wondering if she had looked in a mirror often enough to recognize herself. “I haven’t gone anywhere.” He whispered.

Lune jumped and stared at him. "You! You're me!" She gaped. "Wow, is my hair really the messy?" She questioned, taking out her hair to comb thorugh it with her fingers and then put it back up in a messy bun. "What are you doing anyway? Why do you look like me?"

He doubled over laughing, destroying the illusion in the process. “You- You should have seen your face!”

"You idiot," Lune groaned. "I don't know if you've ever had the pleasure of running into yourself, but it's kind of freaky." She glared at the laughing boy and tapped her foot impatiently, waiting for him to calm down. 'At least he's not angsting anymore' she thought.

“Mirror did it to me when I first met her, she’s way better at it, she even sounds like the person she imitates.” He grinned at her as he stopped laughing. It had been the first laugh he had had since he had came there. “Mind if we walk while we talk, and you eat?”

"Yeah sure," She shrugged, starting down the path into the quad. DetaB had done a pretty good job of making te place look natural. Almost like one of the parks she'd seen in old books with big trees and flowers and in the distance she even saw a fountain. "So you're an ex-Blocker then?" She started. "You must be from Moon then. Or maybe Mars?"

Jayson nodded. “Moon. That’s where my family is.” He sighed. “My brother was my commanding officer when I was a Blocker. My sister pretends I don’t exist.” He blinked away tears and regained himself. “My friends-“ His voice cracked. “They don’t know about it.”

"And your family?" Lune asked. She could just picture a family of Blockers learning their son is a psychic. "They didn't try to lock you up or anything?"

(OOC: This is all the RPing Sylver and I have done online on MSN, since she's having trouble getting onto the site.)
SYLVER: He frowned and shook his head. "They found out afterwards. The Blockers exiled me to the wasteland. That's what probably saved my life. They forgot that I survived there once before in training. That's where I found Keila." He looked at Lune intently. "You remind me of her. Anyways, her cousin is Dace and he brought me here. I haven't seen her since."
LEE: "I see," Lune nodded. "It must be tough. Growing up thinking that psychics are your enemy and then suddenly discovering that you *are* one." She smiled softly, "Yep, definitely no fun. But can I ask you something?"
SYLVER: "Go ahead." He was curious. He had been doing the most talking and all she had been doing was asking quesions.
LEE: "When you were...a Blocker," She asked, "Were you...I mean, did you believe in their ideals? Did you really believe that we're sub-humans? The enemy?"
SYLVER: He laughed. It was a bitter laugh, but it was still funny to him. "No... well, I didn't really know what to beleive. I thought that if i trained, I would be protected from psychics. I was afraid of ever meeting a psychic, I thought that they would take one look at me and wipe me out. I thought that WE were the weaker and lesser species. Once I met Keila... I thought that she was a Blocker at first." He shook his head. "The first time she found out I was a Blocker was when Dace showed up. He was a lot more vicious then what he is now."
LEE: Lune giggled as well. "I see, so you were scared of *us*. I never thought of that as a possibility. But I've always heard that Blockers looked at us like insects." She sighed, "Anyway, now that I've finally made it to DetaB I don't have to worry about being attacked anymore, or wondering if the water I've found is safe to drink, and I can have three square meals a day." She smiled broadly, "And you don't ahve to worry either. Because DetaB takes care of it's members. And I'm sure not everyone is like that girl in the caf. I just want regular humans a nd psychics to live together, you know? So no one has to live in fear anymore."
SYLVER: Jayson smiled happily at Lune. "you are so much like her. SHe wanted the same thing." To change the topic he asked, "So, do you have any 'special' abilities?"
LEE: Lune blushed, "Well, nothing really interesting. I can hurl raw psychic energy as an attack, and I've got the basic telepthy too. I'm also an empath." She smiled, "But I can only feel others' emotions when they're close by or if it's a really strong emotion. My friend Justice can block psychics though. It's kind of a dumb power for a psychic to have if you think about it, and it's really the only thing she can do. But she does make up for it. She's the best fighter I've ever heard of!"
SYLVER: Jayson smiled and suddenly there was a monkey running down the hall towards them, it leapt at Lune, grinning with it's arms wide open. Just before it reached her, it disappeared.
LEE: "Gah!" Lune jumped back. "What the hell?!" She turned and glared at Jay. "Was that you again?" She accused.

SYLVER: Jayson smiled and nodded. "Of course. Why wouldn't it be?" They rounded a corner and there was a great gaping hole in the floor. Jayson walked unconcerned over it. "Me again, the only thing I'm not good at is sounds."
LEE: "I'm going to have to be on my guard around you." Lune chuckled. "I don't know how long my heart can hold out if I'm going to be having heart attacks every five minutes." She poked him playfully in the ribs and also walked over the hole.
SYLVER: Once she was over it disappeared and the floor was still intact. "Kinda distracting to walk over nothing ain't it?" He dug his hand in his pocket and dug out a coin. Flipping it up he forced it to hover before it continued in it's path. He attempted to catch it and missed. \\d in it's path)
LEE: "Well that's pretty cool." Lune smirked at the frozen coin. She pointed her finger at it and shot a small bolt of energy at it and hit it dead on. The coin zipped across away and clattered against the wall of the distant cafeteria.
SYLVER: He stared after it in remorse. "Phooey." The coin was already lost to his memories as his vision wandered around. "How long ago did you get here?"
LEE: "How long ago did I get to DetaB?" Lune asked. "Why just a few hours ago!" She said gleefully. "It was just this morning that I was still in Metropolis thinking I'd never find DetaB recruiters! And then Vice showed and and bam! Here I am! Wow, I still can't believe it!"
SYLVER: Jayson raised his eyebrow. "A few hours? That's not very long." He was silent for a while. "Have you ever been in the wasteland?"
LEE: "The wasteland?" Lune blinked. "Well, Justice and I had to cross a corner of it to get to Metrpolis, but for the most part we avoided that place. It's really dangerous, you know."
SYLVER: He smirked. "Not if you know it's secrets. I spent a week there - in the rain! - and was perfectly safe." He then dropped the subject, teasing her with that little bit of information.
LEE: "Hey wait a minute! Is that all you're going to say? How the hell could you survive the wasteland! There's nothing there but acid rain and dirt. There's no food, no water, and it raions death from the sky almost constantly!!" Lune just couldn't believe it. A whole week in the hellish place? "Do you have another ability you're not telling me about?" She whined. "What do you mean it's secrets?"
SYLVER: He grinned evily, "I can't tell you the secrets, and it has nothing to do with me, I wasn't a psychic when I was there the FIRST time." He poked her in the shoulder playfully, "Wouldn't you like to know."
LEE: "I would actually," Lune whined. "Why can't you tell me? And the first time? You mean you went back?! Jay, you must be crazy."
SYLVER: Jayson frowned at the last coment, but only breifly. "I was exiled into the wasteland. Keila lives there." He brightened. "But the village is a secret." He said the last in an excited whisper.
LEE: Lune couldn't believe what she was hearing. A secret village? In the wasteland of all places?! "Who would want to live out there?" She wondered out loud. And why keep it a secret, of all things? Were they trying to hide from Blockers out there?

"Far's I know only Keila would. Dace, Shadina, Rift, Fai-" He cut off in the middle of the dead girl's name and shook his head. "They all think she's crazy." He tried not to think of Fairy; the memory of his brother and her was too painful.

Lune felt a flash of hurt from her new friend and frowned. Even if he hadn't been a psychic long, he had already experienced the loss that came with being hunted by the Blockers. She felt bad for him. She wondered just who it was that had died on him. His expression made her think of Solomon. Her dear Solomon who'd died protecting her and had left her in charge of the others. And then she'd let them die as well. Sometimes the guilt was so much it made it hard to breathe. She stared down at her feet and tried to thyink of a topic that was a bit less depressing.

He was lost in thought as well, thinking about the time where he had first met Keila. While he was thinking, a projection of Keila appeared unbiden walking beside them. She had flaming red hair down to her mid-back and she was wearing a pale yellow old-fashioned dress that hung down to her ankles. Now when I say old fashioned, I mean back to when there weren’t any automated machines. It had a large bow in the back and slight frills on the sleeves, other than that, it was a rather simple dress. She was half a foot shorter than him and had bright blue eyes with a smattering with freckles across the bridge of her nose. She smiled at Lune and it appeared that she was looking AT her. The projection was one Jayson had been trying to perfect forever, ever since he had found out about his ability. He had finally perfected it and didn't even know that he had.

Lune glanced up and saw the projection of the woman looking at her. How odd, She thought, I wonder why she's looking at me? Lune stared back at the fire-haired woman but didn't say anything. Was this the same woman that had caused the surge of emotion just moment earlier?

Jayson looked up and jumped. "Keila?!" The girl winked at him and disappeared. He shook his head. "Man, I wish it would stop doing that!" He attempted to calm his racing heart. "Well, now if you ever see Keila, you can say hi for me." His tone was slightly bitter.

So she wasn't the one he'd lost, Lune figured. His emotions were confusing to her, and she wanted to ask him about it, but some things were just better left unsaid. She'd probably clam up if someone suddenly brought up Solomon. "Sometimes it's hard to contorl your powers. Expecially in the beginning." Lune said quietly. "Most psychics start showing signs of powers really young, but since you lived on Moon yours were dormant until you were exposed to the Earth's atmosphere. That was just recently, right? You'lll get the hang of it." She smiled, "When I was a kid I'd throw temper tantrum and end up hurling energy all over the place. I was weaker then, but still ended up hurting a few people. At least no one can be hurt by an illusion, right?"
