Suggestions?

Alright, since Struggle is going to almost be starting up from new... how do you think it could be improved? Other than more member activity. Is there something that could be done structurally or visually to make the forum more appealing?

No one has any ideas for Struggle? 0: It can't be lack of advertising considering the MASSIVE spider advertising a did. ;D Adverts went from like 9 -> 40+

What faults does Struggle have in itself? What makes it unappealing? What turns you away? Any idea other than 'lack of members' is appreciated We're trying to get more members, so that reply is pretty much pointless. What I'm looking for is what do other sites have that Struggle doesn't? Or has real RP fallen into myth; a shadow of FanFiction.

A reminder too that all the advertising code for Struggle is provided so members can spread the word too!

What do you say to having a big plot start up as sort of an 'opening' for Struggle's come back? I could change all the new advertisements to include some comment about it and you guys (including any guests that think it might interest someone they know!) could spread the word to anyone you know who might be interested as well as post adverts.

Of course, member's are not required to take part in the spreading of the word; it's merely a possibility if anyone wanted to. I don't want to discourage any member advertising since this isn't my site; it's ours.

Struggle can't live through 1 person! It's collaborative, so if no one's here Struggle can't live. Don't be discouraged to join just because only 1 person is active, help change it!

Well im here as well just busy alot i think you should change the look of it if you can it just seems.....Kinda childish to me it doesnt seem very well layed out its not visualy appealing....Plot line is good could be expanded abit but is fine for now (It can expand once more members come and what not) I just think the general layout of the site isnt to appealling.

Any specific details on what makes this place unappealing layout wise? And before you suggest it I am not going to put in a side menu. I hate them on RP forums. They take up space, scrunching up the best part of the forum, and serve no real purpose other than to display what everyone should already know if they visit 1 board. Minus people who put their chatbox in there. That also annoys me D: though just cause it adds length vertically if you are long winded like me

So in other words, unless you can supply a great beneficial reasoning for a side menu, I'd rather not have one and keep the space for the purpose of the forum: writing.

And also an explanation as to why there's no pic as the background: not everyone has high speed computers, thus a picture in the background would slow down loading time. So as a default I'd like to keep no pic in the background for guests, but for the options... I've been meaning to change all of them cause... personally I don't like any but the default.

The history I could work on. It was just since this isn't mine I left all the rules/history/characters left by the owners. But if you say you want it fixed up, I don't have a problem abiding

Just the color Scheme and what not just seems so unappealing to me its almost pushed me away till i saw what the RP was about :/ It jsut seems so....How do i say it nicely...Well i geuss i cant..It seems kinda Kidish if you know what i mean :/ Im not tryin to sound mean im just putting in my input. I think a chatbox would be beneficial so members could let others know the made posts if people are on at the same time and are in the same thread the side bar doesnt appeal to me either so no problem there. the History is good but i think a new APP form would be nice i find the APP form abit lacking in some ways its doesnt give enough specifics to talk about if ya know what i mean if not ill provide furthure explenation once you respond back to this!

Yeah, I agree with the application form. The one for my other site is much longer but not painstakingly so if you know what I mean

And I can work on the colors, and a CBox is simple to get. I was just going to wait till it was a bit more active, though even with you as an addition it'd be worth the time. Currently I'm workin' on the Black/White skin, but since default is the one that everyone sees when they come I'll switch to that one

Thank for the input. If there's anything else at all you think would be a good change feel free to mention it. I take criticism well so long as it's constructive, so as long as you don't start swearing at me then don't worry about offending me

Ooo, that is a nice offer. If I think of anything I'll let you know. Ultimately I think my best help is getting any feedback on stuff. The coding and framework is simple enough especially now that classes are over In a week I'll be free of Uni! And only have to worry about my job searching

I keep an update log, so if you see new stuff and have a chance to take a gander and find something that could be fixed about it or criticize whether it was even an improvement that would be a big help.
