Project TOvos

Luke was tired after walking for hours but he still felt the need to cover more ground. After what he heard he felt like he couldn't sit still and probably wouldn't until he fell asleep. The shock hadn't worn off yet even after all those hours. All he could do was remember what he heard as he walked.

Luke had decided to explore The Ruined City to see what unique things he could discover. Going through the city was an amazing sight, he had never seen such things before. As he traversed the city he began to feel a faint EMP emanating from under some rubble.
Thats strange, what on earth could still work here Luke thought.
After digging through the rubble he found an old transmitter used for communicating.
It looks like someones transmitting a message, but on this old thing? Who would do that? I know, I'll use my power to fix it, so I can hear what they're saying.
After some time Luke got the thing to work.
Come on, see if you can pick up the transmission you stupid thing.
.........Nebula members report........project.....underway...
Luke smacked the transmitter which then started working perfectly. Finally!
"I will begin debriefing of Project TOvos now. Do not worry about the line being secure, as you all know no one will be able to hear us on these old transmitters. We the Nebula Syndicate have begun production on Project TOvos. TOvos stands for Total Obliteration monster. Vos means monster in the old language we discovered on Earth. TOvos will be the first created psychic ever. He will be more powerful than any of those pathetic beings hope to be. He will be our salvation as he will eradicate the entire psychic scum. He will have the power of an atomic bomb, able to create a large mass of energy miles wide. He will be completely under our control of course, and once he has completed his purpose he will be eliminated. TOvos will be referred to as subject from now on. What I need from the field agents is to direct all Blocker activity away from Moon. Being as that is where our secret base is and where the subject is being created. We do not want to alert DetaB or any other psychic as to the whereabouts of our location. All other agents are to come to the base to work on the subject. We will be victorious! We will........
Luke couldn't stand it anymore. He dropped the transmitter which broke on contact with the floor. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. Creating a psychic? Is such a thing possible? It couldn't be. But as much as Luke didn't want to believe what he was hearing, he knew it was the truth. There was only one thing to do now and that of course is put an end to this. But how? Luke decided to take things one step at a time, and concluded that heading for Metropolis was the best thing to do right now. Even though he was more than halfway through the city and it would take him days to get there, Luke started walking.

Pondering all these things wasn't helping Luke. So he decided after all his walking time to finally go to sleep. First thing in the morning he would set out hopefully more at ease than the day before.

The sun was shining threw the clouds that morning. The only sound that was herd all day was the sound of the sand vehicle that traveled along the ruins of the city. “looks like the clouds are going to the wastelands again, well maybe ill find something good today.” Mike thought about as he controlled the vehicle down the dirt paths. He sighted something off in the distance. “what do we have here??” he asked himself out loud.

Luke awoke to the loud noise of crushing sand. The fact that such a loud noise was being created in the middle of nowhere was surprising enough. But the fact that what he saw when he opened his eyes was a man controlling a giant machine was even more of a surprise to him.
"What do we have here" the man said as Luke stood up.
"What you have is a guy who was trying to get some shut eye" Luke replied
"Who are you and whats up with this big machine?"

“This? This is my Dirt Monkey! Well and im just checking out the ruins for…stuff” Mike responded
“well what are you doing out here? Do you need a ride or something?” Mike asked.

Luke thought about telling the man about what he heard the day before, but he wasn't sure whether he would believe him or not. I mean Luke hardly believed it himself. Best not to tell a complete stranger about that now Luke thought.
"Names Luke and I'm heading for Metropolis"
"If you could give me a ride to however far you want that'd be great"
"By the way whats your name?"

“Names Mike, here hope on” Mike said extending a hand to Luke and letting him up to his sand vehicle.
“well I can take you back into my town its not too far from here” Mike said shifting the vehicle around and starting it in the opposite direction.
“ so what where you doing out here on your own?” Mike said over the sound of the wind.

"I just came to explore the ruins a bit"
Which was the truth before he found that damned transmitter. Though he seems like a good guy, Luke was still unsure if he wanted to drag the man into this. It'd be nice to have some company around, but the price for that company was sharing his terrible burden of destroying TOvos. Still it couldn't hurt for him to know now could it. I mean its not like he'll want to come with me when he hears whats being created on Moon. I'll tell him when we get to the village. It was then that Luke's stomach grumbled to remind him that he was hungry.
"You got anything to eat at this village?"

“oh ya dude we have it all. Hay have you ever had a fruit called a mango? If not oh man are you in for a surprise!” Mike said as they continued down the dirt road. They passed broken and destroyed building and such on their way. "we need to take a stop for a sec, i got to take a leek!" Mike said as they started to come to a stop.

It was only that Mike had gone off to take his leak, that Luke realized that the cruiser wasn't electrical.
I thought it was weird how I didn't sense an EMP wave coming from it. He must be controlling it with his psychic power. Amazing, Luke had never seen such a device before.
"Sorry about that" Mike said returning from his potty break and snapping Luke out of his thoughts.
"No worries, when you gotta go, you gotta go"
"Now lets go get some grub!" Luke said pumping his fist in the air

“well this is it” Mike said as they entered the village. “Enger village” Mike said with a glint of pride.
They continued thru the town . The town was built off of scraps of older buildings. It was not a bad looking place if you conceder that the entire town was built from old pieces of junk

Luke looked at the village with interest. Though it wasn't much, it was still unique. Luke followed Mike into one of the huts.
"Just sit down, while I go get the food" said Mike
Luke did as he was told and eagerly waited the arrival of what would quench his stomach.

Mike came back into the room with slices of mango. “now you better enjoy this. it’s a rare fruit. I grow my own patch of this in a secret stash “ Mike said handing him a plate of the fruit.

Whatever this mango was that Mike had given him was doing wonders not only for his stomach, but for his taste buds too.
"Mmmm" was all he could say while consuming the delicious fruit.
"Told you its good" Mike chuckled
"I have got to take this with me to Moon" said Luke absent-mindly

Mike allmost choked on hearing the words "moon"
"did you say Moon?" Mike asked

Crap, did I actually mention Moon? Stupid, stupid Luke. These mangos are probably used during interrogations for all he knew. Oh well, might as well tell him the whole damn story.
So he did.
"And thats the whole story" Luke said
"I've got to get to Moon to destroy some all powerful psychic these secret Blockers are building"
"So what do you think" Luke asked

"...speachless" Mike said wiht a mango peice sitll in his hand. he realized this and ate the last peice quickly.
"so how do you plan to get to the moon from here?!" Mike said starting to laugh.

"Whats so funny about me trying to get to Moon?" Luke said almost angrily
If this guy doesn't believe he can do it hes got another thing coming to him.
"If you must know, I was planning to pose as a civilian and catch a shuttle at Metropolis"
"And if that fails I'll just steal one and get there anyway"
"Is that plan good enough for you" Luke said with a small tone

"well its not going to help that your going to have a ship from earth going to the moon. come on its the Blockers HQ." Mike said as he got up and started to put the plates away.

"Well I'm not going to head directly to the HQ, I'm not that stupid" Luke said rolling his eyes
"I was going to go to the residential areas to find out what I can about Nebula Syndicate"
"I mean someone has to know something, it could give me a clue of where their secret base is" Luke said starting to lay down. Though it sounds simple, Luke knew this task was going to be a lot harder than it sounded.

"oh ok...well i can give you a lift to metropolis no big deal." Mike said geting his jacket back on.
