"Art...Art!"
"WHAT!...oh, um...yes miss Fura." a stertled Art said to his teacher.
"now if we look at this space reagion you will see...." Art totaly zoned out on the subject...he couldent pay atention. not with the greatest looking girl siting infront of him.
the class was in a round like pit shape with the teacher projection in the center. but across this pit was a great looking girl...a girl who only knew his name by when his teacher told him to pay atention. A girl that was suprizingly not into any guys! well that he knew of any ways...just looking at her made him feel like he was on some kind of drug...
"Art! please dont let me catch you not paying atention again!" said the progection of Miss Fura.

Andrelina nervously looked down at her assignment sheet and took a deep breath. The mansion before her was bigger than anything she'd ever seen before, and it was home to Commander Ned and his family, a highly respected man among the Blockers.
This was her first assignment away from home, and it showed just how highly her superiors thought of her, considering she'd only been with the Blockers a few months.
"No use wasting time out here," She told herself. Steeling herself, she walked up to the front door and rang the bell. She was greeted by a butler, who showed her into a sitting room to wait for the commander.
Ten minutes later he appeared. She jumped to her feet and saluted. "Andrelina, private first class, identity # 205999, reporting for duty, sir."
"At ease," the commander said boredly. "You're the new guard?" He seemed suspicious.
"Sir, yes sir!"
"You'll be assigned to my son." He told ehr simply. "There've been several threats to myself and my family from DetaB recently, although I don't expect anything to come from them. Arthur is at school right now, but he'll be along shortly. Just keep him out of trouble, do you understand?"
"Yes sir!" Andi answered, although she was confused about his lack of regard for the threats. From what she'd heard, DetaB didn't play around. If they were making threats then it was likely they would carry through on them. The thought made her sweat. Her older brother had been killed by DetaB and she wasn't looking forward to any run-ins with them."
Commander Ned turned to leave when they heard the door open. "Ah, that must be Arthur now."

after school Art walked home... it wasnt that far away and he didnt like how the bus pod was packed with students so he decided to walk home. on his way he kept thinking of that girl..."wait...what's her name!!!" how stupid could he be! he was so into the way she looked he had for goten her name!
"good going Art..." well it's not like he could never find out...ah home...time to play with my new Vurtual Game!
But there was an unexpected waiting for him when he got home.

"Arthur," Ned said when his son walked through the door, "This is Andrelina. She'll be your bodyguard from now on. I expect you to keep her close, what with those DetaB threats coming in."
Andrelina saluted stiffly at the boy. Her dossier on the assignment had told her that he was her age and although he was the son of a Blocker commander, he was still in school and had yet to join up. Still, she hadn't expected to be assigned to him specifically. 'Oh well, I guess guarding a fellow teen won't be too boring, at least.'
Ned nodded at the pair and then left without another word. The two teens were left to their own devices.

(oh man HER!! i cant beleve it! a cute girl like this was to be around her all day!? no, all THE TIME!...cant be stupid around her...oh man i sounded like a jerk just now...)

They were still standing in the foyer. Andi had no idea what she was supposed to do. How was she supposed to act? He was just a civilian but still...he was the son of a commander! "Well..." She said finally, "I suppose you should just go about your normal activites. I won't get in your way. You won't even know I'm here."

Art walked to the kitchen...so did she...he went up to his room and so did she (a girl in his room...never would have thought that would hapen...)

Andi frowned as she settled in to a place by his door. "It's my job." She answered. "If you have a problem with it you can take it up with the commander."
She should have expected this. She doubted she would have liked someone following her around in her own home. However, if members of that terrifying psychic group, DetaB, were threatening her and her family she probably would have put up with it.
"I'm just here to protect you." She added, her hand resting on her gun. "If any of those psychics try anything here I'll shoot them." She wasn't smiling. She wasn't proud of the fact. It was smiply that: a fact. It was her job to fight DetaB and she was going to do it.

"yes shoot them" said andi looking at him with confusion
"its just...well besides having that power arnt thay human's also?" Art asked looking at her feeling even more uneasy

"Psychics are a sub-human group. Mutations." Andi said, quoting apiece of Blocker literature she'd had to read for her training. She saw his startled face and sighed. "Whether they're humans or not doesn't matter. If they pose a threat I'll have no choice but to shoot them."

"what?!" Andi said in shock
"its...its just that...well why cant we just...like all make a deal not to hurt eachother?" Art said thinking that she would turn him into his father

"You're very idealistic." She said, calming her voice. "I wouldn't have expected that from Commander Ned's son." She stopped and thought about the possibility of negotiations. "If either side were willing, it might work. But the Blockers were blindly devoted to killing psychics, and the psychics were dead set against destroying the Blocker threat. But hopefully we won't have to deal with that kind of situation and the threats will turn out to be bluffs. Your father doesn't seem to worried about it."

"well im going to take a nap now. are you going to watch me sleep?" Art asked starting to put him sellf under the covers
"um...i guess so" andi said kind of laughing
"well wake me up in around an hour ok?" Art said truning away from Andi
"ok i guess" Andi said not knowing what exactly to do

Andi waited until he was asleep before she took the opportunity to look around the room. There were all sorts of coold gadets just lying around, but she didn't know if she should touch any of them. The games looked tempting, but eventually she settled on a good, old-fashioned book and sat down in a comfortable arm chair to read for an hour until Art woke up.

"what do you want?" said the girl from school
"um...how about we go out some time?" Art asked
"no i have a boyfriend. and i dont even know who you are" she said walking away in to a dark abiss
"wait up i realy like you!" Art said runing after her but not going any where.
"Wait!"
......Art looked around and realized he was in his room and andi was stareing at him
"did you know that you talk in your sleep?" Andi laughed
"so who's the girl?" she asked closing the book

Andi couldn't help but giggle at Art's sleeptalking. "Sounds like someone has a little crush." She teased. "Wanna tell me about it? What's her name?"

Andi thought about this for a moment. "Nope. I can honestly say I've never had a crush on someone without first knwoing their name. YOu need some serious help, buddy." She smiled. "And I'm going to give it to you!"
"Wha...how?" Art demanded.
"Simple, I'm going to school with you tomorrow, right?"
"You are?"
"Yeah, I'll dress down and pretend to be a student and I'll help you break the ice. You can introduce me as...your cousin or something. How does that sound?"
