I have a question. What do people do in DetaB? Like what are the people like? What do they do in level 3 specifically? I'm just really curious and am hesitant to rp when i don't know specifics.
Also, what kinds of different powers can you have? Is flight one of them? Slipping unseen in shadows?

Detab is psychic resistence group. Their most basic function is to cause as much trouble for the Blockers as they possibly can. They spend a lot of time planning attacks on Blocker bases, harrassing Blocker members and recruiting/saving psychics from Earth. Not everyone who live on the DetaB base is a 'soldier' though. A lot of people just joined up in order to have a good place to stay and three square meals a day. These people support the group by performing basic maintenence duties such as cleaning and repairs, teaching, cooking and even babysitting. Come to think of it, DetaB is really just a huge city. It's located in space on a colony though te exact location is known only to members.
Level three is pretty basically a huge gym. There's your typical gym equipment (weights, treadmills, etc) but there's also special rooms for psychic training. Almost any power you can think of can be exercised there. Whether you want to practice telekinesis by moving five ton blocks or just duke it out with another member. On top of that, it is also a DetaB training facility where things like explosives and shooting are taught.
As per your question about powers, flight and shadow-walking (whatever) would definitely be included as possibilities. Flight would really be a type of telekinesis, and cloaking would be a manipulation of light of some sort.
As for other powers, they would include but are not limited to things like: compulsion (ever read the Wheel of Times Series? I can explain if you haven't) mind control, blocking, activating pain receptors in others' minds, creating illusions/hallucinations, telepathy and telekinesis, attacking (hurling raw psychic energy at people), creating barriers, changing people's memories, erasing memories completely, brainwashing, mind reading, empathy etc.

Blah! I'm stuck on eight! Stupid Mat isn't in it at all! Makes me sad, coz Mat is my favourite and in the last one he got crushed by a building. How can mean old Robert Jordan leave a cliffhanger like that for a WHOLE BOOK!? How do his fans not tear him to pieces?

Blah! Perrin and Faile are the best, but Faile was coolest before they got married. She's insane.  Anyway, I'd say to keep you character in no more than two threads, unless they're related/continuation type threads, if you know what I mean. |

yeah, i know what you mean. I like how Faile wanted to be mandarb (sp?) but then that was .... was.... Lan! Lan's horse's name. I feel so bad, i couldn't remember his name! I like Elias too. And Hopper.

Gah! Wolf man is awesome! I laughed so hard when Perrin told her Mandarb was Lan's horse.
Lan is pretty cool
I hated Moirine though> I'm glad she's gone, although I'm pretty sure she'll reappear at some point in the series, if Mr Jordan doesn't die before he finishes it. I peeked ahead and the Daighter of the Nine Moons shows up in the last paragraph of book ten, which is the last book! *sob* I've been waiting for her to show up too! *thinks of Mat's possible reactions to meeting said daughter and laughs* If he dies first I'll kill him myself. I don't care if it makes no sense.
Blah, isn't that guy like seventy?

Ah! I can't wait! I still haven't finished the whole series, but I want to see the daughter of the nine moons! I MUST!! She's the one character I've been waiting to make an appearance since she first mentioned when? sixz books ago? Maybe more? Really. That guy sure knows how to drag things out.
*sigh* and when I finally finish with the wheel of time, I'll have to find a new fantasy series to obsess over. Any suggestions?

Hmmm... There's the 'Shannara' series by Terry Brooks, they're pretty good. There's also the 'Wizard in Rhyme' series by Christopher Stasheff. I've got most of the Shannara books, but the Wizard in Rhyme ones are Really good.
Could I use the storyline from this site in a story? Or are you already using it?

I did actually get the basic storyling for this RP from something I wrote, but I don't plan on ever posting it anywhere. It's mostly just for when I get bored. If you want to use it thats fine with me.

My wife's parents brainwashed her and convinced her that she had to leave me, in the best interest of her and my daughter. How can I reverse all the damage they have already caused and let her think for herself again? |
